Tips for Travelling in Australia No. 1 - Public Toilets.

1 Conversation

No matter where you are, especially if you are driving long distances, you have to stop some time for the call of nature. Though beind a tree may be easy, and lets face it on many country Australian roads there are plenty of trees, there may also be a farmer in a tractor and a rather annoyed expression. So public toilets can be very handy. Except there are some important points for unwary travellers in Australia.
First, try and choose a public toilet where the door actually locks, especially if the toilet is located in a small brick building in the middle of a park.
Second, if you do choose a small brick building style toilet in the middle of the park, just forget about the red back spiders that inhabit behind the doors and such. Such worry about deadly wildlife will only make you nervous and made the your whole toilet experience uncomfortable.
Thirdly, try and get a toilet with absorbant toilet paper, not the smear around type.
Forthly, though you can read much great philisophical discussion on the back of Australian toilet doors, think about what is actually atonomically possible before you believe them.

Just a few tips for when taking that important stop in Australia.
