A Conversation for The Mother of All Gooses
Row Row Lake
Robyn Bankes Posted Jan 7, 2003
Its a bit gloomy here
I cannot see much I fear.
If I dig deep into my sack
There may be something at the back.
What's this I've found?
An old brass lamp that's none too sound.
Ahh, but here's a maglite
That should aid our sight
*shines the torch around the lake's bank*

Buttercup the Pantomime Cow Posted Jan 7, 2003
[Front] Hmmm. Stepping stones. Now there's a challenge.
[Back]: Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily.
Life is buttercream.
[Front]: I think a boat would also present a challenge. And anyway, there is no boat except for the one that the mice are using and that's too small.

Mysterious Stranger Posted Jan 7, 2003
*strikes forehead in exasperation*
*picks up a new stick, a much nicer stick, and shows it to the *
*throws away the stick, with all his might, and it lands on the other side of the lake*
FETCH!
*thus hoping to have distracted the he puts an arm around Mary's waist and attempts to pull her with him behind some shrubbery*

Blue-Eyed BiPedal BookWorm from Betelgeuse (aka B4[insertpunhere]) Posted Jan 7, 2003
[Discreetly leans over the Stage of Row Row Lake (if that's possible in VR) and picks up the stick from where it landed. He shakes it playfully, calling to Mary's .]
Heeere sheep! C'mon sheeep! Fetch the sticky-stick sheep!
[He chucks it with fair accuracy back across the stage and it hits its intended target (the Mysterious Stranger) and wedges in the back of his costume.]

I hope this works. It oughta be a real hoot!

Mary and her full-grown <sheep> Posted Jan 7, 2003
*Mary's eyes widen as she slips into the bushes with the Stranger.*
Oh my! Hee hee! Oh, aren't you naughty!
*These sounds stop abruptly as the leaps into the bushes after the stick.*
<-- drops stick in front of the Stranger and looks up expectantly.

Thistle Howl - a frighteningly cute Critter of the Night Posted Jan 8, 2003
*decides the moomlite evening is just too fine to let acusations of feyecide and forboding music ruin her mood. She dances out out onto the shore as far as she dares go, just getting the tips of her paws wet. Then she lean as far out over the water as she can and examines the water closely.*
Oooooh, cool, duckweed! And brown pond scum; it's much tastier than the green stuff! Did someone say they had bickies? That's cookies, right? Could I have one, please?

*opens the packet of Gypsy Creams and passes it round*
*then shines her torch around the lake*
*just a few ripples break the surface, apart from those created by the mice and Purr*

Purr in Boots Posted Jan 8, 2003
**Purr turns to examine whatever he has stepped on as he dismounted from the tree, however the lighting is such that even his full senses don't at first register it's nature. He does recognize one thing, though...**
Ai ssmell chocolate! PrrrrRRrrrr...
**He surveys the goings-on and notices the beam of light playing across the surface of the lake, and recalls the gentle voice behind it.**
Misss Bankess? Dearr Rrobyn, could yeou pleasse come overr here for a moment? Ai have blunderred onto ssomething that might interresst all of us. A light upon the ssubject would be propitious...

Look out behind you! There's a monster! Or maybe a continuity breach!

Thistle Howl - a frighteningly cute Critter of the Night Posted Jan 8, 2003
Thank you, Ms. Banks. *she takes a cookie. Given a choice between either keeping clear of the shore with large, mysterious, splashy things about or garnishing her cookie Thistle shows that a little girl has her priorities. She dips the end of her Gypsy Cream into the water, bringing it up with green and brown stuff on it. She takes a bite, and rolls her eyes with pleasure.*

Mysterious Stranger Posted Jan 8, 2003
*lets go of Mary, wriggling furiously until a stick drops out of his tail coat*
*glares at the muttering inaudible things under his breath*
*picks up the nice stick and throws it - into the water, floating and clearly visible to both and *
*picks up the sturdy stick*
Excusez moi, Mademoiselle Mary
*marches over to B4 brandishing the stick*
*leans over the invisible and possibly imaginery railing*
*whispers into B4's ear, with his warm breath brushing against the side of B4's throat*
If I catch you interfering physically one more time, just one more time....
*he leaves the sentence unfinished and swings the stick*
Zeppo! Fetch!
*drops the stick on B4's lap*
*returns to Mary*
Now, where were we, my dear?
