If you want to make roster moves, then any trades and/or releasing of players you wish to do must be actioned before this time, otherwise it will have to wait until the conclusion of week one...

You can sign free agents or attempt to re-sign your own players at any time so there is no rush with this, although you may want to keep tabs on who else is going after any of your target FA's...

You might also want to consider getting your depth charts completed using VRHG's handy depth chart entry... copy and paste to your own entry from here A967359 and get an idea of how it will look here A935075

If not completed by the above time, I will play your teams first game using the computers default!!

When you have created your own depth chart entry, let me know of the number and I'll link it to your teams page...

From now on, I suggest we discuss the JM League on JM League pages, that way we can leave the forum for its intended purpose of discussion of real life American Football... you might want to start subscribing to the relevant entries...

for now and have fun... trading insults and general bickering is allowed and in any disputes, my decision is final... no appeals!!

Do you want the 45 player rule active for the pre-season games as well, or can we just field everyone we want?

the 45 player rule is only for games that count... regular and post season... pre-season anyone can play!

Well, not right now.. I'll have to look into the Free Agent lista a bit more. I'll get back to you on that ASAP.

And just to remind you, during pre-season, the game will automatically mass substitute at half time (Eriksson style), putting those who started off as back-ups into the game... if you want this to happen or you want your starting line-up to play the whole game, just let me know!!

Nah, just go with it like that. Mass substitutions are nice every once in a while.

Not for me. I have specific players I want to get all the field time they can get. I only want to share time on a couple of positions.

My preseason philosophy is this: the great players aren't going to get greater. The awful players aren't worth developing. So the ones who are young and have enough potential that I'd consider them in a backup role today are the ones I want to get preseason experience for as starters.

Wise words, methinks, especially the way Madden works...
