The entrance to Tír Nan Óg. Tír Nan Óg is a relatively new city in h2g2land, being founded in the Year of Our Lord 2002, on the Second of December (about lunchtime). It is a happy land, with joy and happiness being second nature to all of its inhabitents.

Tír Nan Óg is ruled by the Tuatha, who, it is rumoured, has travelled here from elsewhere in h2g2land, seeking a place to call his own. Tír Nan Óg is reached through a long tunnelway, which is very cold. You wonder where the city really is.

From here, paths go left to the High Cliffs, right to the River Gorge, or straight on to the Main Square.
