A Conversation for 24 Lies A Second 2
Huh?
Catwoman Posted Nov 30, 2002
Tis a different article, but exactly the same. Why not just adjust the other one? Now that's just mean. Everyone should go to our conversation instead (where is it?)
Huh?
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Nov 30, 2002
It should still be in your conversation listing - it is in mine...
I thoughted the Post just linked to the page Awix posted up the review on, not this time apparently
Huh?
Post Team Posted Nov 30, 2002
Nope!
Awix creates his wonderful entries in a scratchpad and the <./>ThePost</.> drops over and collects them to put in a new entry. This ensures that they are accessible by the Post Team to edit (very rare in Awix' case ), add frontpage links etc etc. I don't think we have ever just linked to his original writing...

No, is true, they did it to something I wrote once or twice. So there's two versions, that are alsmot exactly the same.
Huh?
Catwoman Posted Dec 2, 2002
but, it's not the same, and no no-one will see our conv on the original one.

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 2, 2002
can we find put a link to it???
(will find one after cooking tea...)

*realises how pointless that conversation has become*
So, Harry Potter, great, can take the kids to it.
Two Towers, should not have kids watching, who thinks it'll have to be a 12A sort of thing this time, instead of PG?
Huh?
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 3, 2002
apparently in yankee-land it's a PG-13... so I would guess 12A yeah. It's a rating that would probably have suited the first one too.
Huh?
Post Team Posted Dec 3, 2002
Maybe Awix put the other one up just for you guys when there wasn't an edition of The Post that week? He doesn't usually leave them lying around long enough to cause confusion
Anyway - I thoroughly enjoyed the film.

yeah, it was just a lot of fun!
Still - I have to hope they'll give up the feature film idea after Prisoner of Azkaban. I'd love to see them do a long mini-series of Goblet of Fire - I think it would serve it best, and the chapters do fall so perfectly for it. If they made it with Band of Brothers level of production values then it could be so great!
Huh?
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 4, 2002
yeh, they could sell that hugely - especially since they would have such a wide age range of target audience. Plus video and DVD sales after the run.
Huh?
Catwoman Posted Dec 4, 2002
Shame though, because it would be better on BBC (due to no interruptions, also the whole British-tradition thing) but would make more money on a commercial channel, esp if was run on sky first.

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Dec 4, 2002
I just have this "Band of Brothers"-esque ideal
made and shown first in the States, with advertising, then shown in the UK on BBC without ad. breaks, and now selling the videos and DVDs
