Where in the World Have We Been?
Not everybody knows someone who's been petting a zebra. Willem sent this photo to me labelled 'Kwagga en ek.' I told him, 'That's a beautiful quagga.' He replied, 'That's a zebra. Quaggas are extinct. But we call them kwaggas in Afrikaans.' So I learned something. That's what we're good for: showing and telling each other things we would never have known otherwise. That's why I love this site.
We'll be back next week with more Stuff. (Send more Stuff!) Remember to get vaccinated when it's your turn. Dodge the raindrops or wear a hat (looking at you, Prof!). Eat your vegetables: that asparagus worked hard to get that tall.
Quote of the Week: Since their introduction in 1978, Lego's Minifigs have, um, reproduced at a rapid rate. In fact, the toymaker has been making the little fellas at such a pace that they outnumbered humans somewhere in 2019.
