Fascinating story, that I could really imagine the setup (I've been there with trying to record a song on my keyboard while the boiler turns on with a fanfare, the phone rings and a police car neenaws past... 
) and the first event seemed reasonable in context, but then it definitely ran headlong into dreaming territory
