How to continue a story?

I have experiemtned with writing stories, but I can never make it actually go anywhere. I get half-baked ideas for plots and then only manage about a page before I run out of inspiration.
So how do you get a proper plot (that lasts)?

Why don't you submit your stories to the Alternative Writing Workshop at <./>RF5</.> for some feedback? The people there are very helpful, and you'll find you improve your writing if you listen to them.
