A Story to Start A Story

I don't know if this is how I'm supposed to do this, but I'll have a bash at it, anyway.
I've posted an entry in my journal, in my PS, that is a story that actually happened to me. It had such a profound affect on me that I would dearly love to work it into a piece of fiction, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Anyone who would be willing to help me, please be so kind as to visit my PS, read the journal entry entitled "A Story I Love to Tell," and give me your advice, either here or on my message board. I would be hugely, enormously apprectiative.
