Bagging the meanders of Meander

The river Meander in Turkey has many convolutions. It flows close by the ancient Greek city state of Miletus, historically important as a centre for the beginnings of rational thought.

There is a legend that it has an underground connection with the mythical river Alpha.

I think it would be ever so much fun to go a bagging its meanders.
