An Agnostic Athiest, what is truth.
Created | Updated Jun 1, 2012
Hello h2g2. I've heard exciting things about you. A place online where I can really talk, unlike social media sites or popular entertainment sites. To think, answered seriously by genuinely interested peers? Ha! That sounds too good to be true to me, but I'm eager to give it a try.
I'm not here to get into debates about Athiesm, not this post. I'm just introducing myself to you today. I will make sure to share articles, perspectives and thoughts in the future and open up a dialogue. I thoroughly enjoy being challenged, and I am genuinely honoured when I meet people smarter than me. When we challenge each other debating beliefs, opinions and perspectives it's one of the best things in life to me. But I digress;
I am an Agnostic Athiest. I know that humanity as a whole cannot prove a God(s)/Godess'(s) don't exist and they cannot prove that they do. That isn't Religion specific at all, I do not believe any Religion. Badly argued Faith and arguments like "We didn't find Jesus in space!" do not prove anything to me. However, in my personal opinion there is most likely no God.
That is seperate from other beliefs, I wonder about a lot different things. Size, for example! Is our Universe and everything we know of floating around somebody's bedroom? Imagine trillions of species so small that we couldn't possibly discover them given our current technology in my toe lint. I do not know these things. But I'd really like to. That's why I think pursuing Knowledge is the greatest thing about the human experience. There are so many things left unaccounted for, and this may well be our only chance to try and find these things out. That's what I'm trying to do here anyway.
I tried to keep that succint, but I have a habit of overwording my sentences. I'll be posting here again. I look forward to reading more and meeting more of h2g2.
