Hi all,

This is currently a breaking story, and it's one that I think makes an interesting little tale for the Guide.

I need to add a few links and explanatory footnotes, so along with the inevitable spelling mistakes, can anyone point out which terms need explaining and which bits could be smoothed out?

Any suggestions for links will also be greatly appreciated.

And yes, I do realise I need to write an entry on Twitter very soon...

Could you tell us more about the keys? You just mention them in passing, as if you think you'd already explained about them.

Argh, it's Jevin. I'll amend that.

I'll add a bit on the keys. It was the first proferred cause of death:

"News still coming in about Gregg. Coroners report claims he sat on his keys to death. There but for the grace of God... #RIPGreggJevin"

It's very bizarre. He's basically Twitter's nighthoover...

Yes, don't believe everything on the internet, never mind twitter.

Just this phrase, which I am guessing should read 'touched' instead of 'youched'. But of course in the land of the tweet, 'youch' may be a term that is also trending

This is an important addition to the Edited Guide, and I've been thinking of writing this one myself for, oh, an hour now.

I only wish we had the ability to hold the Front Page and just paste it there, but it needs artwork - you know how it is...

I bet there are some generic type keys or such like. or a tombstone... *thinks

None at all, but it can go in the Peer Review slot.

Hey, I've got my marketing head on. This story's the second most talked-about think in the world at the moment, but it's got about 4 hours of useful life in it.

Just getting it in that PR slot is better than nothing.

Is it possible for Entries to be fast-tracked through PR and onto the FP? I think this needs to go up ASAP while the whole thing is still fresh.

I should clarify what I mean by useful life.

It's viral now, and I reckon it might make it to about 6pm GMT. If we're lucky. After that, it'll drop off the social sites, so it's harder to push.

However, expect The Now Show and The Bugle to pick this up over the weekend, and this to be one of those Zeitgeisty things that gets a bit of interest for a week or two.

After that, it's still useful as an interesting example of how the Twitter hype machine works, so it's still a worthwhile entry, but in the next few hours we can piggyback on the trend.

Of course, it doesn't NEED to be on the FP for it to happen, but having it there while Wiki are still staying aloof makes us look very switched on.

The viral "it" being the Gregg Jevin story...
