Caligula

Caligula (Gaius Caesar Augustus) was a very tall and extremely pale, with an unshapely body, but very thin neck and legs. His eyes and temples were hollow, his forehead broad and grim, his hair thin and entirely gone on the top of his head, though his body was hairy. Because of this to look upon him from a higher place as he passed by, or for any reason whatever to mention a goat, was treated as a capital offence.
1. Caligula was a Cruel, highly strung, yet was devoted to his family and was very witty.
2. Son of the great and admired leader, Germanicus, and was able to trade on his popularity.
3. Tiberius "was rearing a viper for the Roman people"
4. Made a promising start, but became ill and emerged from fever a changed person.
5. Began killing off all rivals, and became very upset after his sister Druisilla died.
6. His racehorse, Incitatus, played a key role in his life.
7. Started to behave very strangely, having conversations with Jupiter Capitolinus and inviting the moon to his bed.
8. Fell out with the senate, and conspiracies began to be formed against him.
9. He failed in a military operation in Germany, and called off a planned invasion of Britain.
10. Was killed while attending the games in Rome, and suffered damnatio memoriae.
