The Doctor stormed to his quarters Ace rushing after him.
"The audacity of that man!" The Doctor shouted.
"Um, Doctor calm do-" Ace began.
"Calm down! CALM DOWN! don't you realise what this means!" The Doctor said still shouting.
"What?" asked Ace.
"That were doomed! That’s what!" The Doctor groaned and complained until they finally reached the quarters that they had been given for the duration of their stay.
"Goodnight!" snapped the Doctor slamming shut the door to his room.
Ace felt like sticking her tongue out but realised how childish it would have been so she went to bed.

The next day the Doctor had calmed down and he and Ace were making their way down to the wedding reception in a place called the Grand hall.
"I have no idea where we're going you know that don't you." The Doctor said to his companion with a smirk.
"You! Lost?" Ace found herself laughing.
The Doctor bumped into a guard at the door to what appeared to be the grand hall.
"This way sir." the guard said directing the Doctor into the hall which was filled with bustling guests.
"Told you I would get us here didn’t I!" The Doctor smirked.
Ace frowned at him, "You got lucky!" she said.
Ace nudged the Doctor in the arm. "Do you see Rasputaltron?" she whispered.
"No, perhaps he's late." The Doctor suggested with a smile.
A voice came from behind the Doctor. "I Doctor am never late for anything!"
The Doctor turned around to face Rasputaltron.
"Your looking well..." The Doctor said.
he turned to Ace. "Go to the buffet over there, I want some time alone with Rasputaltron."
Ace nodded.
"I heard that!" Rasputaltron snapped. "Well enjoy girl! you might bump into Barok." he smiled as she walked off.
"So what are you doing here?" The Doctor asked as they began to walk together.
"I was invited." Rasputaltron said proudly.
"Why?" The Doctor gleamed at the skeleton.
"The Atrions are reaching out to all neighbouring systems, these include Skellia, so here I am!" Rasputaltron said.
"I see, your lying aren’t you." The Doctor said with a smile.
"Oh yes." Rasputaltron said quickly.
The Doctor glared at him. The voice of Merak came over the speaker system.
"If you would like to take your seats." he announced.
Rasputaltron and the Doctor made their way to their position at the head of a long table. Rasputaltron and the Doctor looked at each other and each sprang for the seat at the tables head. Rasputaltron pushed the Doctor out of the way, taking his seat at the head of the table with a smug smile on his face. The Doctor at the seat next to with Ace to one side, Barok to the left of Rasputaltron on the other side of the table barely able to see over the table.
Rasputaltron picked him up and made him sit on his shoulder. "Stop that!" he snapped.
After a particularly dull speech made by Merak and the Princess everyone made their way out. Rasputaltron and Barok made their way to their quarters.
The Doctor and Ace followed a short distance behind hiding as not to be seen.
"Professor, is this really necessary?" asked Ace nervously.
"Rasputaltron is up to something and I have every intention of finding out what it is!" The Doctor said in a quiet voice.
Rasputaltron entered his chamber and the Doctor and Ace listened at the door. The Doctor mouthed to Ace "Not a word!"
Inside Rasputaltron removed his cloak and sat down on a large golden chair.
"Master, when exactly are we going to get hold of this book of time?" Barok asked his master.
"Soon now, but we cannot open the book without a segment of the key to time, hence the Princess." Rasputaltron explained.
"And when we have the book?" Barok enquired.
"I shall re write history, and get rid of that meddling Doctor for a start!"
The Doctor, still outside the door had heard enough. He grabbed Ace by the scruff of her neck and said. "We have to get out of here and warn the Princess!" he said, then he realised that he had not spoken in his quiet voice.
The door opened and a bony hand seized the Doctor and pulled him inside along with Ace.
"You!" Rasputaltron hissed.
The Doctor backed away, realising only then that there was no means of escape. Rasputaltron raised a hand a fired an energy bolt at the Doctor and Ace knocking them both unconscious.
"Ha." he chuckled. "Barok tie them up while I commence a kidnapping!"
"Yes master."
Rasputaltron left the room with a smug smile on his face.
Rasputaltron walked through the dark corridors of the night blanketed Atrios palace. Past the sleeping guards and into Princess Astra's personal chamber. The Princess stood to one side of the room staring into a mirror. She turned in shock to see the black skeleton enter.
"What are you doing here!" she demanded.
Rasputaltron smiled. "I wonder if I might have a moment of your time?" he purred.
The Princess gave him a curious look, trying to contain her anger. In a flash she had been knocked out by one of Rasputaltron’s energy bolts. Rasputaltron picked her up and swirled a black cloud of energy around himself as he disappeared and then emerged in his quarters.
Barok approached him, pointing out the Doctor and Ace tied up at the side of the room. "Done my master." the winged creature said.
"Right, good now if I am right-" Rasputaltron said dumping the Princess in his chair as he opened up a holo map.
"We need to go there!" he said pointing a bony finger to an asteroid surrounded by a deep mist.
Barok sat on his masters shoulder as Rasputaltron grabbed the Princess and disappeared in a swirling pool of black energy.
* * * * *
Rasputaltron stared across the cavern like structure in the asteroid, the rocky floor was filled with pits of boiling lava and he had to jump across each pit with the Princess in his arms.
"Well, good exercise eh Barok?" Rasputaltron said looking at Barok who had collapsed on the floor out of breath. Rasputaltron sighed and walked on.
There was a door before him which glowed in a beam of light. He pushed the door open revealing a small pedestal which the book of time was placed on.
"Excellent!" he exclaimed. "Now to convert the Princess!"
He swept his hand over her and in a flash she had transformed into a crystal like segment of the key to time. As Barok entered the room Rasputaltron knelt down and placed the segment in a groove on the cover of the book, the book opened slowly and revealed more pages of time than imaginable. Rasputaltron gazed at his victory, but was distracted by a wushing sound outside the door.
The Doctor and Ace emerged from the Tardis and were met by Rasputaltron and Barok.
"You!" he screeched.
A bolt of lightening flew from his hand, the Doctor ducked and the beam went flying into the roof, a few rocks fell down.
"I have an idea, draw his fire!" the Doctor said to Ace.
Ace ran across the rocky floor and dived across the lava pits as bolts of energy flew at her.
Seizing the opportunity the Doctor went into the room for the book.
"Not so fast!" came Barok's voice from behind him.
The Doctor gave a quick backhand and knocked the winged creature out cold.
Rasputaltron turned to face the Doctor having lost track of Ace.
"Get back!" he screeched.
The Doctor raised his hands and backed away. Rasputaltron moved to the back and picked up the small crystal like pen next to it and began to make his changes.
The Doctor dived at him before he had a chance to complete his work, he then seized the book and ran outside.
Rasputaltron ran after him. Realising he was trapped near one of the lava pits he turned to face his enemy.
"Now Doctor, give me back that book!" he screamed in fury.
The Doctor smiled. "You want the book Rasputaltron? its yours!" the Doctor said and he threw the book at Rasputaltron, Rasputaltron was flung back by the impact of the surprisingly heavy book and the Doctor kicked him into one of the lava pits.
Rasputaltron screamed as he sunk into the lava, taking the book with him, which remained floating on the surface of the lava.
The Doctor reached down and picked it out. Ace came up behind him.
"Invincible." the Doctor stated patting the book with a smile. "But I think its time we returned it Galifrei.
The segment of the key dropped out and transformed into the Princess Astra.
"What happened?" asked the dazed Princess.
"I will explain later, I believe we have a wedding to go to don't you?" The Doctor said.
Astra nodded as the Doctor and Ace showed her into the Tardis, The Doctor took one last look at the lava pit and entered the Tardis fearing that he hadn’t seen the last of his old enemy. The Tardis dematerialised.
As it did a bony hand reached from the lava and Rasputaltron flung himself out, making his way back to the room he picked up the unconscious Barok, realising that he had been defeated. He zapped himself and his burnt clothes transformed into their usual black robes and purple cloak.
"One day Doctor! ONE DAY!" he screamed into the air, he wrapped himself around in a vortex of black energy and vanished.
THE END.
