A new arc?
Raspy Started conversation Mar 3, 2003
Mike, would you like to write another arc story like we did with Trap of the Daleks?
I am going to leave several things unanswered in my new story, and I thought we cold explore them in a new arc/epic story similar to Trap.
We could include everyone-Raspy, Chekawowe, the Valeshini/Rutan alliance against the Sontarans, Nshcca, Tor Garane, Romana X and possibly even Zigrosi?

Sounds good Martin, it may help us raise our standards after the poor Shroud of Darkness.
I apologise for taking so long to reply, I didn't notice the thread! Which Doctor would it be for? he Eighth presumably? We'd have to think of a clever way of bringing Zigrosi. I have started work on The Valeshini Quest but that's mainly for my own reading and probably won't get posted anywhere as the episodes are so long (I was going for Trap of the Daleks but with the Valeshini).
I liek the idea of a story similiar to Trap of the Daleks but it mustn't be to bogged down with forward planning as it may suffer then (The reason Trap works is because it wasn't planned so the twists were as new to us as they were to the readers!).
Oh, I've just had an idea for bringing Zigrosi in, it could be one of his previous regenerations (so far we've only met his eleventh, twelth and thirteenth selves - and first if you include the Valeshini Quest - though their was a reference in Conspiracy to one of his previous selves having green sking, but that body was destroyed in an attack by a Dalek Killcruiser).
Yeh, so anyway, I'm up for it!

Martin old chap, I've posted the trailor for the arc. I've named it Grandplan? Hope that's alright, I've left the details pretty open (usual stuff you know: Raspy raising an army of the night, yadda yadda yadda) so we can evolve it however we like.

Sounds good Mike, I just read the trailer. I presume that the Valeshini are going to appear?
Also I thought of a new plot device, Romana-X is an android right? so we can just kill her in every story, so that Rasputaltron has to keep ordering more copies of her?

Sounds good, but my idea was that perhaps we could start the story with the Doctor receiving an invertation to the Doctor and Romana-X's wedding on Kanderaan?

Raspy Posted Apr 1, 2003
you mean recieving an invitation to 'Rasputaltron and Romana-X's weding' of course
But yes, that sounds good.

Sorry Martin, I type so quickly that sometimes I don't concentrate on what I'm tapping...
I was thinking we could start Grandplan tomorrow, shall I start, only that's how we seem to do things...

Raspy Posted Apr 2, 2003
yes of course, that seems to be the trend we follow nowadays.
But if possible(as i know this is how most stories start) could you leave the 'Raspy explains his plan part to me?'
Oh...I presume you know what it is?
A new arc?
Mike Zigrosi Posted Apr 2, 2003
Of course Martin, you always explain Raspy's plans far better than I do (I always feel mine sound rather forced). I was thinking that perhaps on some planet there were some "spirit stones" which house the minds of a long dead civilisation who can see intothe future and past. Whilst Raspy was visitng this planet for one reason or another (Note: this happens before the story) what is left of Zigrosi's influence escaped into a spirit stone (without Raspy knowing) and is now trying to telepathically warn the Doctor of Raspy's plan whatever it is (though the Doctor doesn't know that until the denuoment.
I did enjoy your review of Chekawowe I always find them interesting as I'd never heard what you thought of Ethan before now (Idea: perhaps he could make a cameo in Grandplan if it involves travelling across time?)

ah thankyou, are you sure you dont want to start the story tonight? we may as well.

Raspy Posted Apr 2, 2003
Yes of course ethan could make an appearance.
by the way, if you have anything beginning with D that could go in the A-Z, that would be useful. becuase I'm stumped.

Mike Zigrosi Posted Apr 2, 2003
Up to you Martin, I suppose he could easily fit in (maybe he's one of the other guests at the wedding)
