I set up this thread for Martin and I to discuss how we're going to tackle our upcoming story The Ends of Eternity. Anyone else reading this thread, beware of some major spoilers!

So, Martin, what are your ideas for old Raspy's fate?

I'm not sure whether we should kill him off or not, but if we do it should in a grand battle with the Doctor, not just from weakness. I think we'll probably have to bring old Chekawowe into the concluding part of the story too, along with Barok.

Well I quite liked the idea of having him put on trial by the Celestial Intervention Agency. That way the Doctor, Zigrosi, Romana, Chekawowe and Barok could act as witnesses.

As Raspy's creator it's up to you decided whether he dies or not. I agree with you about dying in a grand battle and not from the weakness. If we did use the trial concept and wanted to kill him off then perhaps he could try and escape and die in the attempt (a battle with the Doctor in an out of control TARDIS or some such idea).

We could include extracts from some of Raspy's previous stories as well couldn't we? Flashbacks or evidence or something...

Yes, we'll try the trial idea, we wont kill him.

I just lose my total of over 500 posts you know! I had to re register on H2g2 and then back on the boards! I sent the BBC a threatening email in utter anger, so they might be a little angry with me!

I thought it was a well reasoned, easy to read and yes I did agree with what you said. Maybe one of us should write a review of Chekawowe...

Well, I wrote the last review, and since you came up with the idea of Chekawowe, perhaps you should write it.

Martin, just to let you know. Rasputaltron isn't dead, but maybe we can tease the others by not revealing that he survived at the end of this story? That way, if we did bring him back in some other story it would be a genuine surprise! Especially if the Docto and the others think he's dead...
