The golden-plated Taurion Scout Ship moved swiftly through the fringes of the system. It didn't move as swiftly as it might once have done due to the fact that it had been in service for many centuries and it had just had its fifth engine installed after the last melted down to little more than a pool of highly radioactive liquid metal.
On the bridge Captain Darren Kai U opened a communication channel to Taurion central,
"Come in Taurion central, this is scouter 638, come in central," There was a slight delay due to interference before the crackling replay came,
"This is Taurion central, reading you loud and clear 638. Do you have anything to report? Over"
"Negative. Fringe sector 98 Gamma is clear, over."
"That's good 638, make final scan then return, over."
"Will do central. Over and out."
Kai U ordered for the final scan to be made, "Anything?" he asked lazily, knowing the replay before it came. But it didn't come, instead he got an entirely different reply,
"Affirmative Captain."
"What?" Kai U was on his feet and ran across the cramped bridge to peer at the scanner.
A group of thirty or forty red triangles were moving towards them in battle formation.
"Open com-channel to central, SOS frequency he ordered!"
The order was carried out and he thumped back into his chair and leaned into the mic, "Come in central, repeat come in central have detect-

The Doctor stepped off the exercise bike in the console room and muttered something about carrot juice as he walked up to Mel out of breath.
"That's it!" he declared. "I am stopping!"
"But you were doing so well." Mel said.
There impending argument was stopped by the Tardis shuddering, they held on to the console for dear life as the Doctor saw what was happening.
"A Time Corridor!" he announced grimly.
With a jolt the TARDIS came to a very sudden (and ungainly) halt.
"I take it we've landed?" Mel asked,
"In deed we have" the Doctor moved around the console to look at one of the readouts, "On the planet of Taurion" He stopped, "That can't be right, the people of Taurion are neutral, they'd never construct something as hostile as a time corridor!"
"Maybe it wasn't them then," Mel suggested, "Maybe it was someone else"
"And why would they do that?"
"I don't know!" Mel snapped, "It was just a suggestion!"
"Well let's take a look shall we?" the Doctor suggested, grabbing his coat and marching out of the doors.

Night fell on Kanderaan, Rasputaltron had received the Fifth Doctor and his companions had had the shards of their life force on display with the others. Things were actually going well for once and he had found it nice to talk to Romana and had actually found it disappointing when she fell asleep. Suddenly he slapped himself round the face, was he getting to like her too much? suddenly a thought occurred to him that he might be in love but he slapped himself again and turned his attention back to the rack awaiting the arrival of the sixth Doctor, then there would only be one Doctor left and then he could begin...

Stepping from the TARDIS the Doctor and Mel found themselves in a small domed room. the TARDIS had materialized beneath a ring of lights that floated in the air about half way between the floor and the ceiling.
"Oh great another trap" Mel sighed, sitting down on a nearby piece of machinery,
"Not at all Mel, I'd say this was a junk storage chamber" the Doctor said, bending down examine an oddly shaped organic looking light bulb.
"Junk?"
"Certainly Mel. The people of Taurion pick up a whole load of scrap in their sector, and since a rather unfortunate incident with a bionic lung, that turned out to be an atomic device they don't through any non-degradable stuff away. They just keep them in these huge storage domes"
"But are we ever going to get out of here Doctor?"
"Oh yes, we just have to wait for someone to open the door."
The door slid open.
The Doctor and Mel stumbled back as a smoking burnt corpse fell through the door revealing its murderer standing behind it.
"A Dalek!" the Doctor exclaimed.
The Grey Dalek in the doorway moved forward its deadly gun stick trained on the Doctor.
"Stop where you are do not move!"
The Doctor whispered to Mel. "When I say run, Run!"
"Run!" they turned to leaved the way they came only to find another three Daleks in front of them. "Oh." the Doctor said as the Red Dalek gave the order.
"Release Time Wraith!"
The Time Wraith appeared above them and Mel screamed as it descended on them and two more shards of crystal fell to the ground.
"Our mission is complete, enter temporal transference machine and set co ordinates for Kanderaan." The Red Dalek ordered.
"I obey!"
