On Skaro the large shuttle of the Cyberleader landed in the spaceport. The Cyberleader emerged and strode into the main command tower and to the control room. The control room was now a busy frantic command point for the entire alliance. The Cyberleader strode up to The Supreme Dalek's aide who was supervising operations from a raised platform in the centre of the room.
"Where is the Supreme Dalek!" The Cyberman demanded.
"He is in his chamber." The aide reported quickly commencing operations afterwards.
The Cyberleader strode to The Supreme Dalek's chamber and entered the doors sliding shut behind him. The Supreme Dalek was being placed into an impressive black and Gold casing when he was inside the casing slammed shut and he wheeled over to greet the Cyberleader.
"You were not told to come here." The Supreme said.
"Earth is quite safe, I prefer to work here alongside you." The leader said.
"Very well. Your fleet must be rebuilt although we conquered Krontep Andromeda is still in the hands of the Federation."
"I understand, I hear the invasion of Galifrei goes well." The Cyberleader said.
"Yes. Our forces have begun invasion, soon we shall have control of the planet and its secrets will be ours!"
"Excellent!"

Ace set the Doctor down into one of the seats of the council bench and turned to face the source of a familiar rushing sound. Slowly the shape of the newly regenerated Zigrosi faded into existence.
"I didn't know you could do that." Ace acknowledged. Zigrosi smiled and crossed to the control panel. He flicked a blue lever on the top of the panel and a secret door slid aside in the wall. He stepped through into a dark room with lighting panels all across the ceiling.
"What is this place?" Ace asked the Castellan,
"This is the President's private control centre, from here President Flavia can control almost all of Galifrei."
"We know," came a voice from the doorway. Davros had his hand raised and a bolt of blue lightning shot into Zigrosi. He collapsed backwards.
"Leave girl!" Ace scowled at the mutant and left through the door. In the control room behind her a split appeared along Zigrosi's front and he unfolded, revealing a dark space beyond.
"Very impressive!" Davros noted as the real Zigrosi lifted himself out, "Changing the outer dimensions of your TARDIS to look like yourself,"
Zigrosi raised his gun pointing it at Davros, he was about to squeeze his finger on the trigger.
"Wait, killing him wont solve anything." The Doctor said pushing the gun down from Davros' chest.
"Thankyou Doctor always the good pacifist." Davros said a smile creeping across his lips.
"Indeed!" a voice from the doors said. The Rani entered the room, her gun raised.
Zigrosi raised his weapon again but The Rani shot it out of his hand. Zigrosi made a desperate charge at The Rani but before he could seize her weapon a bolt of energy from Davros knocked him unconscious. Davros glided into the command centre and accessed the computer files.
"A ha I've done it!" he exclaimed in as close as he got to sounding happy.
At a transmat in the corner various Galifreian artefacts appeared, The sash of Rassilon, The Hand of Omega and finally the eye of Harmony.
"That’s brilliant with these we could control the universe!" The Rani said ecstatically.
The Doctor felt that he had been here before.
The Rani picked up the sash of Rassilon and put it on Davros. "Hold that!" she said. She then opened up the hand of omega and told it to follow her to her Tardis. The Eye of Harmony was a large circular object to heavy to carry, but to valuable to leave behind.
"Wait here!" she said to Davros. She walked out and a minute later her Tardis materialised just next to Davros, they gathered the artefacts and put them inside the Tardis.
"And that?" Davros asked pointing to the eye.
The Rani placed to gravity stabilisers on the eye on pushed the floating object into her Tardis.
Outside the room The Matrix door opened and The Master and The Monk rushed out slamming the door behind them.
"What have you done?" asked the Master in an outrage.
"What?" asked the Rani in an innocent tone from the door of her TARDIS.
"The Matrix!" the Monk spluttered, "It just threw us out."
"I can assure you it has nothing to do with us," said Davros coldly, following the Rani into the TARDIS. The Master spun on his heel to face the Doctor and Ace.
"It must have been you then!"
"I am wounded and Ace doesn't understand the complex circuitry of the Matrix." the Doctor waved a passive hand. Ace looked outraged at the Doctor's judgement of her for a second, before realising that it was for the best and folded her arms.
"On the other hand I know who did it," Zigrosi had come around and was holding up his blaster, "And they've just left in that TARDIS," In all the confusion no one had noticed the Rani's craft dematerialise.
"And they've left us a little present" A silver sphere was in the centre of the room, a dial ticking down from ten in its centre.

Inside her Tardis the Rani set the co ordinates for Mio simea Gorea the planet that she ruled. Davros was a few paces away. The Master and the Monks Tardis' had been stored inside her own.
"Well now that were done we will be taking those!" The Monk said pointing at the artefacts. The Master and The Monk both backed away smiling.
"Traitors!" The Rani shouted at them.
"We did all the work so we get the prizes, and your Tardis my dear Rani!" The Master said a smile crossing his face and turning into a manic laugh.
Davros, apart from all of them moved slowly from behind the Monk and The Master. He fired an energy bolt from his hand at the two of them and they fell to the ground unconscious.
The Rani smiled. "Excellent, they should make promising experimental specimens!"
Davros smiled and looked at the artefacts. "You will have to program that!" he said pointing to the hand of omega, remembering his last experience with it. He then moved away from them and next to the Rani.
"were dematerialising." she said.
They made their way out of the Tardis where two guards greeted them. "Mistress Rani." they bowed.
"Fetch the two inside and bring them to the main control point." she ordered.
"And fetch those artefacts!" added Davros.
They advanced to the control point their victory complete.

Ace was standing by the door into the Matrix, shaking with fear. The Doctor and Zigrosi were huddled over the bomb.
"Doctor" she called tentatively. "Is it safe yet?"
The Doctor turned to his companion and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"There isn't enough time to defuse it."
"But Doctor..." her voice trailed away as she realised that he wasn't kidding.
"Don't worry Doctor." Zigrosi called. "You and the girl will be safe." The Castellan was standing in the centre of the room, the bomb was nowhere to be seen.
"What's he done with the bomb Doctor?" Ace asked nervously,
"That's not Zigrosi."
"But-"
"It's his TARDIS, he's taken the bomb inside with him. He's going to sacrifice himself,"
Zigrosi smiled thinly and raised his hand in a salute, "It has been an honour to work alongside you Doctor,"
"But Zigrosi there's still time, you can escape from your TARDIS!" the Doctor pleaded with him.
"I'm sorry Doctor, but this way I'll die a noble death."
"But he can regenerate." Ace pointed out.
"This is my thirteenth body, it's to late for me now.” And with that a distant rumble from within the man bore through the air, and the TARDIS collapsed to the ground.

Inside Skaro central control The Supreme Dalek, The Cyberleader, Sil and Tor Garane watched as King Yrcanos was tortured. This was mainly for Sil's pleasure, The Supreme Dalek saw it as a pointless exercise and The Cyberleader could think of better things to do with such a powerful humanoid.
"Increase the voltage!" Sil shouted. the technician turned a knob on a control panel and Yrcanos writhed in pain.
Finally Yrcanos fell still on the table. Sil smiled and turned to the technician. "Destroy his body!" he said with a cackling laugh.
The technician nodded and reached for a large red button on the control panel but before he could press it Yrcanos was on his feet, he knocked the technician unconscious and charged at Sil, Sil screamed in fear but before Yrcanos could attack the Cyberleader had knocked him unconscious with a hard blow to the neck.
"In future you will retain your sadistic pleasures!" The Supreme Dalek snapped and he and the Cyberleader left the room.
Garane had been watching with interest he looked at the unconscious body of Yrcanos on the floor. "You know we should really kill him while we have the chance." he said.
Sil was paralysed with rage and he ordered his bearers to escort him away, when he had gone Garane looked at the space he had left behind for a moment and left the room.

The front of Zigrosi's TARDIS opened and the Doctor dropped inside. The console room reminded Ace of a huge metal cathedral with gantries and catwalks running back and forth through its interior. The central console sat on a large circular panel at the very top of the cavern. Chunks of metal had been blasted from the walls and platforms by the blast from the bomb and Zigrosi's body was lying next to the smoking ruins of the central console. The Doctor rolled the Castellan over and smiled weakly at the dying man,
"It's good to see you one last time Doctor." the Castellan croaked. The one side of his face was burnt and blistered from the blast.
"And it's good to see you again old friend." replied the Doctor.
"You knew each other before?" asked Ace.
The Doctor nodded." We were in the Academy at the same time." Zigrosi nodded weakly.”
"It was foolish of me to waste my regenerations like this."
"Oh don't worry." the Doctor smiled. "I've wasted a fair few lives as well." He looked around at the interior of Zigrosi's TARDIS, "I like what you've done with the place."
"You know me Doctor, always one for grandia.” And with that Castellan Zigrosi’s life ended.

The large shuttle of Rasputaltron landed in the space port of Galifrei. Rasputaltron emerged followed by Barok and observed his surroundings.
They walked inside the main control centre and into the central council chamber where Flavia and her guards were recovering after behind knocked unconscious a few hours ago.
"President Flavia, I have been sent on behalf of the President of the Federation, I am Senator-" before he could finish Flavia interrupted him.
"Rasputaltron, yes I know, you reputation precedes you." Flavia said.
"Thank you Madam, The President offers his help at this time of crisis." Rasputaltron said.
"You may tell your President that I have changed my mind, we need his help to repel the Daleks." Flavia spat the words out in defeat.
"Excellent. I shall inform him at once madam President." Rasputaltron smiled and bowed.
"May I offer you somewhere to stay until this crisis is settled, it is far too dangerous for you to leave, the Daleks may not have seen you arrive but they will know you are here now." Flavia said.
"Thank you Madam President." he said with another respectful bow and he made his way out. The Doctor emerged from the control room and bumped into him, Rasputaltron glared at the Doctor but the Doctor just smiled back.
"Sorry." The Doctor apologised.
Rasputaltron looked at him for a moment in an evil way then he regained his usual attitude. "Don’t worry about it." he said.
He crossed the room and disappeared down a hallway.
The Doctor walked up to Flavia. "Castellan Zigrosi has died." he said.
"He died saving our lives." Ace added.
Flavia gave them a sad look then she said. "I see, he shall be honoured."
"Good. By the way who was that man?" The Doctor asked.
"Senator Rasputaltron, one of the most important people in the universe." Flavia said, she was surprised that the Doctor didn’t know him.
"Really, I may pay him a visit later..."
The Doctor led Ace through the twisting corridors of the Panopticon.
"Where are we going?" asked Ace.
"Senator Rasputaltron is infamous across the multiverse, and Flavia knows who he is."
"But she seemed happy enough about his arrival." Ace tagged on,
"And Rasputaltron race have exceptional hearing."
"So what?"
"He heard what I told Flavia."
"So? You only told her about Zigrosi."
"Precisely and he didn't seem to expect that."
"Zigrosi was important, any Senator would be surprised at his death."
"It wasn't that type of surprise," They reached a corner and turned it. But there path was blocked by Rasputaltron's winged servant, and he was holding a gun.
"If you would accompany me." Barok said a smile creeping across his lips as he signalled for them to move down the corridor.
They finally reached a large chamber and entered. Barok selaed the door behind them. Rasputaltron turned around in a large chair to face the Doctor.
"Ah, Doctor. I see you have been prying into other peoples affairs again, as you pointed out I have exceptional hearing." Rasputaltron said.
"Indeed." said the Doctor.
Rasputaltron waved a hand at Barok who shot Ace in the back. The Doctor rushed over and knelt beside her feeling her pulse he got back up, realising that she was only stunned.
"What’s all this about! you may be one of the most important men in the cosmos but you have no right to threaten us like this!" The Doctor exclaimed.
Rasputaltron didn’t even flinch. "On the contrary, as a high ranking official who is very important and under threat of assasination every so often I do..." he said.
The Doctor stiffened. "What are you implying?" The Doctor said.
"Oh nothing." he smirked.
"Why were you so surprised at Zigrosi's death?" The Doctor enquired.
"He arrived at Federation headquarters and regenerated, I offered him a ship to return to Galifrei, so I thought it may have been carelessness on my part." Rasputaltron said to the Doctor lying through his teeth.
"And how will you explain all this to President Flavia?" The Doctor said.
"Quite easily." Rasputaltron said.
The Doctor noticed a small holoprojector on Rasputaltron’s desk and snatched it off him. Rasputaltron gave the Doctor a fierce look, and The Doctor could detect a strong sense of worry and evil within the senator...
"That's another problem with your people Rasputaltron, so careless!" the Doctor leaned forwards and spoke into the holo projectors mic. "Replay images involving Castellan Zigrosi."
The machine bleeped and two images of Rasputaltron and Barok appeared. The Senator watched, his teeth gritted as the Doctor merely watched the events unfold. "So," the Doctor smiled as the replay ended.
"That's why you were so worried, your bomb hadn't killed Zigrosi, he was never on that shuttle craft!"
"You may have found this out Doctor but that information will never leave this room!" the black skeleton hissed, "Barok, kill him!" The winged creature did as instructed and fired at the Doctor's back. The Timelord ducked and the shot hit Rasputaltron in the chest. The senator stumbled backwards and flipped over the railing on the balcony behind him. His screams died away as he fell.
Barok fluttered over to the balcony and peered over, the Doctor followed him and looked over.
"My god, what have I done!" Barok said in terror.
A voice came from below them. "Not much." it hissed. A bony hand grasped onto the railing and Rasputaltron jumped over landing next to the Doctor.
"That’s another thing about your race, virtually invincible!" The Doctor groaned.
"Do you believe a puny weapon could destroy me!" Rasputaltron hissed.
Before the Doctor could reply Rasputaltron picked him up by throat and threw him off the balcony. He cackled insanely and turned to Barok.
"Next time you blundering idiot! DONT MISS!" he screeched.
Rasputaltron walked over to the holoprojector and blew it up with a bolt of energy. He then crushed the remains under his boot to make sure nothing was left. He strided over to Ace.
"Well, I think its time we left don’t you." he said with a smile.
"Yes master, the girl?"
"I shall deal with her..." Rasputaltron pulled a small vial from his robes and poured the contents of it down Ace's throat.
"What was that Master?" Barok enquired.
"A poison, The Doctor will no doubt have survived or regenerated, so I cant take any more chances, he will know to come to me to find the antidote and keep quiet about all this." Rasputaltron explained.
Barok followed his master out of the room, across the Panopticon and into their shuttle where they went back to Federation headquarters.
* * * * *
Rasputaltron strode from his shuttle and back into his office where he sat down and gazed out across the panorama. He triggered a holo projection of Princess Astra again and relaxed as he stared at it...
* * * * *
The Doctor's coat tails fluttered wildly about him as the wind whipped at his face as he fell the several thousand floors of the Panopticon towards Gallifrey's unmittigatingly hard ground. He waved as he shot past the window of the accounts department and the Time Lady on duty merely gawped back. He pressed his panama hat close to his head as he shot past conference centre three and on towards the rest quarters. It was only then that the idea that he might not survive occurred to him. That was until he landed with a thud in the back of a passing, open-topped hover car.
The driver of the car looked back to see what had caused the tremendous thud and nearly jumped out of his seat when he saw the Doctor.
"What do you think your doing! its bad enough that the Daleks are here but people dropping into my car is just too outrageous for words!" he shouted.
The Doctor scrambled into the front seat. "Take me to the top balcony up there!" he pointed upwards.
"I am not a taxi service you know!"
The Doctor poured a bag of Galifreian money onto the drivers lap.
"On the other hand.. lets go!"
The hover car shot back up to the balcony and the Doctor jumped out. Rasputaltron had obviously made his escape. He walked over to Ace and tried to wake her up but to no avail. It was then that he noticed a small empty vial by her side, he recognised the poison immediately...Rasputaltron, he thought, I must get to Federation capital to find a cure...

On Skaro The Supreme Dalek and The Cyberleader were discussing their plans.
"An attack on Federation Capital may be our best move." The Cyberleader suggested.
"Yes. The invasion of Galifrei has failed I have ordered our forces to withdraw." The Supreme Dalek said.
The Cyberleader nodded and said. "Are we to proceed with the attack on the capital or not?"
"Yes. Your fleet will carry out the task, Dalek fighters will accompany you but our kill cruisers are needed elsewhere."
"Excellent, then let the attack begin." The Cyberleader said, slapping his fist into his palm.
* * * * *
Some time later The Cyber fleet and the thousands of Dalek fighters arrived at Federation capital. They immediately opened fire and were attacked by Galactic Cruisers.
* * * * *
Inside Federation headquarters Commander Zenefon stared at a viewscreen, he was beginning to show signs of agitation. He turned to a technician,
"Deploy all of our fighters to engage them!" he ordered.
"Yes sir."
* * * * *
Dalek fighters zoomed into the central plaza and opened fire. The plaza erupted into flame, the fighters zoomed towards Federation headquarters in their hundreds and opened fire...
Inside Federation headquarters The President and his colleagues were looking for a means of escape. Alpha Centuri and delegate Portris were running along side him.
"We must escape!" Centuri exclaimed.
An explosion came from behind them and Portris was engulfed in flames.
"Where is Rasputaltron?!" The President asked shouting over the noise.
No one it appeared had any answer.
The Dalek fighters dealt the final crippling blow to the building and in a gush of flame it exploded. The President reached the exit just as the building caved in on him and his colleagues, burying them beneath the rubble of the building.
* * * * *
The Galactic fleet was taking heavy damage. The Cyber warships had proved victorious. Suddenly there were new arrivals, the Ice Warrior Fleet emerged from deep space and entered the conflict. The Cyber fleet was out numbered and began to withdraw, they had succeeded in their mission...
* * * * *
The Dalek fighters had been destroyed. The last of them had committed suicide attacks on all important targets in the capital. Rasputaltron walked into the wreck of the central plaza where security guards were fighting to put out the fire. He surveyed his surroundings, now he had won the new would begin, with him as its head...
Rasputaltron cackled to himself as he strode into the main building. He stopped as he heard a familiar rushing, groaning throbbing sound coming from above him. He looked up and saw the Doctor's blue TARDIS materialize above his head. It completed its appearance and crashed down on top of him.
"Rasputaltron!" the Doctor shouted as he stepped from the box and looked around him. There was a creak behind him and the black skeleton stepped from the Doctor's TARDIS.
"A most interesting device Doctor, I may keep it when I kill you!"
"Give me the antidote!" the Doctor asked deadpan, holding out the palm of his hand.
"I don’t think so, NO!" Rasputaltron shouted the Doctor down.
The Doctor moved forward not sure of his next move.
"You see Doctor in a few hours I will assume control of the Galactic Federation itself. And there is nothing that can stop me now!"
"Why kill Ace you gain nothing from her death!" The Doctor shouted at his enemy.
Rasputaltron considered, then he smiled. "Very well Doctor here you are..." Rasputaltron reached inside his robes and pulled out another vial containing the antidote.
"Catch!" He chuckled as he threw the vial in the air.
The Doctor made a desperate dive for the vial but before he could catch it it smashed on the ground.
Rasputaltron raised a bony hand at the Doctor and fired a bolt of energy at him, The Doctor was sent flying and smashed into the Tardis.
"Now Doctor, you will die!" Rasputaltron raised his hand again but before he could fire the Doctor had dived back into the Tardis. Rasputaltron jammed his foot in the door as the Doctor made a vane attempt to close it, then he forced it open and entered the Tardis.
"Now Doctor, you and your companion can die together!" he said as he raised both hands, one at the Doctor and one at the dieing Ace on a bench to one side of the console...
* * * * *
Inside Skaro central control The Supreme Dalek and The Cyberleader had received news of the failure of their attack.
"Why did the attack fail?" The Supreme Dalek demanded virtually hopping up and down with rage.
"The Ice warrior and Earth fleets helped repel our warships!" The Cyberleader stated.
"Karlton said that he destroyed the fleet!" The Supreme Dalek said.
"Apparently he did not destroy all of it..."
The Supreme Dalek turned to his aide. "Send Karlton in!"
The doors to the conference room slid open and Karlton entered escorted in by two Cybermen.
"What of our bargain? I was to rule Earth!" Karlton shouted.
"I am altering the bargain." The Supreme Dalek stated coldly.
"You cant do that!" Karlton shouted at him.
"You failed to destroy the entire Earth fleet, if you had it is likely we would have control of Federation capital by now!"
Karlton backed down.
"We cannot trust a human, let alone one who betrays his own race!" The Cyberleader said.
"But I helped you!" Karlton roared.
"Your time is at an end!" The Supreme Dalek said. The two Cybermen next to Karlton raised their guns to his head.
"Execute!"
Karlton's screams filled the chamber as his lifeless body crumpled to the ground...
* * * * *
"Goodbye Doctor, once and for all!" roared Rasputaltron.
"Stop!" the Doctor shouted. "Or I activate this." he removed a small grey box with a large blue button from his coat and waved it at Rasputaltron.
"What is it?" asked the Senator. "It will activate the TARDISes automatic intruder ejection unit." the Time Lord explained slowly.
"It will do nothing, I will merely re-enter the ship from outside"
The Doctor smiled wryly. "Not if I get to the controls first."
"You won't Doctor, I am an exceptionally good runner."
"Well let's put it to the test," the Doctor pressed the blue button and an invincible force grabbed the skeleton, throwing him from the TARDIS. The Doctor slammed his hand down onto the dematerialization control as Rasputaltron ran through the doors. The force of the time vortex grabbed the skeleton and threw him back, towards the doors. The bony talons grasped onto the still open doors.
"Help me Doctor!" the senator screamed. "You need me for the antidote!"
The Doctor shook his head. "Some of the liquid splashed onto my shirt when the vial broke, I can synthesize that!"
"Then save me through mercy!" Rasputaltron would have cried if it were physically possible. The Doctor hooked the handle of his umbrella around one of the roundels and leaned forwards, reaching for Rasputaltron's hand. "Quickly! I can't hold on much longer!"
The Doctor struggled to pull Rasputaltron inside but the pressure was too great, eventually the Doctor lost his grip and the Doctor watched as the black skeleton was sent arms flailing into space his screams died away as the Doctor closed the doors. The Doctor looked out into space, the thought crossed his mind that he had been responsible for a persons death, and also how he would explain it...
The Doctor walked into the lab room of the Tardis and set to work with synthesising the antidote from the sample on his shirt.
* * * * *
Rasputaltron spun through space, although this had happened he would not die, he didn’t breath for one thing. Rasputaltron summoned all of his powers and let loose a beam of dark energy, the beam engulfed him, although he had not had enough strength to do this in the past, his will to stay live had forced him to risk using it, everything went blank, when the energy vanished Rasputaltron found himself back on Federation capital. He looked around, exceptionally pleased and strode to a guard who was supervising the others.
"Commander." he greeted the guard. "I want a search to begin through all the cosmos to find this man and bring him to me!" he pulled a small projector from his robes showing an image of the Doctor...
* * * * *
The Doctor put a couple of drops of the antidote in Ace's lips and she slowly began to stir.
"The skeleton…" she murmured.
"tried to drug you, I know." the Doctor smiled fondly at her. "But you're safe now."
"Where is he?"
"I'm afraid our friend was pulled out of the TARDIS and into oblivion." the short man's face seemed somehow sadder as he said this. There was a clunk that signalled that the TARDIS had landed. The Doctor straightened up and opened the doors and stepped outside.
"Ah Doctor." smiled the skull face of Rasputaltron from behind his desk. "So good of you to return!"
"You're supposed to be dead!" the Doctor growled, half angry that someone so evil had survived and half relived that he hadn't been responsible for another death. But before the senator could reply there was the unmistakable sound of a TARDIS arriving in the room. They turned to look at the oak cupboard that had appeared in the corner of the room. The doors opened and a young ginger man in red robes of the Galifreian High Guard stepped out.
"Who's he?" asked Ace, who had appeared at the Doctor's elbow,
"Saeeha." the Doctor replied simply, staring at the young man.
"Who?" Rasputaltron appeared to have forgotten that he was supposed to megalomaniac and was dumbfounded by the new arrival.
"I am Castellan Zigrosi's son!" Saeeha explained
"Oh God, What do you want!" Rasputaltron snapped.
The young man stepped forward leaning on Rasputaltron’s desk. "I found the remains of a holo recording in your chamber, I thought that there was something suspicious about the fact my father regenerated as soon as he saw you and there was! You killed him!" Saeehe shouted.
"For goodness sake! Why cant things just break when you crush them beneath your feet honestly I ask you!" Rasputaltron said, treating this as an oppurtunity to make a joke rather than explain himself. He rose from his desk and walked from the room.
"Where do you think your going!" Saeehe snapped as Rasputaltron left.
"I need to make a speech. Barok, come with me!" Barok fluttered down from the ceiling of the office and followed him out.
Saeehe rushed out after them.
"I think we should stop him from doing something rather rash don’t you?" The Doctor said and he and Ace followed out of the room. To their surprise they found that the corridor outside lead to a balcony. Rasputaltron stood on the balcony a microphone in front of him with speakers all around the plaza. And below the balcony were millions of people from around the universe, all were cheering and applauding to the skeleton who looked across at them.
"Honourable delegates." Rasputaltron spoke into the microphone, his eerie voice echoing around the plaza. "The President of the federation is dead, and so are most of the leaders of the federation. But from their ashes we shall rebuild this galaxy. As the first in line after the President I am taking over, a new age shall begin. I shall not be a President, no from this moment on our universe shall be ruled by an Emperor! that emperor is me!"
The Doctor stared at him in horror as the crowd rejoiced.
"Emperor Rasputaltron!" the cheers came up from the crowd.
Rasputaltron turned back to the Doctor. "Welcome to the dawning of a new age Doctor, my age!"
Rasputaltron turned back to address his hordes further. The Doctor suddenly jumped a couple of feet into the air and spun to face Ace.
"Ace do you remember back on the space station?"
Ace nodded. "But what of it. Do you think the Cybermen have something to do with this?"
The Doctor shook his head, dislodging his hat. "I picked up some temporal interference, something happening in time that shouldn't"
"And you think that was Rasputaltron taking power was that?"
"No, the anomaly is Rasputaltron himself! He shouldn't exist!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well according to the TARDIS databanks the president was killed by the Daleks and Senator Crilax succeeded him!"
Ace opened her mouth in realisation before pointing over the Doctor's shoulder. "Doctor! It's Saeehe!"
"What?" asked the Doctor before turning. The young Time Lord was sprinting across the balcony towards the microphone. He reached it and shouted into it.
"Don't listen to him!" came his voice over the speakers, amplified a million times, "Rasputaltron is a murderer and therefore a criminal, he cannot be your Emperor!"
Rasputaltron pressed a large red button on the balcony rail and ships appeared around the plaza, from the entrances to these ships walked thousands of Rasputaltron’s own race...Skellions.
Ace turned to the Doctor. "But how can all this happen if Rasputaltron doesn’t exist!" she said.
"I don’t know!" The Doctor replied.
Screams filled the crowd as the skellions began to destroy the crowd. Suddenly another sound was heard from above them and a large viewscreen showed the two emerging fleets of the Dalek alliance and the galactic federation, the final battle had begun.
The Doctor turned to Rasputaltron who had heard every word he had said about him.
"You, your theory is ludicrous! I exist!" he screeched.
Before the Doctor could reply Saeehe lunged at Rasputaltron the two of them went plunging over the balcony. The Doctor and Ace rushed over to see Saeehe as a crumpled dead mess on the floor. Rasputaltron however was still standing he thrust himself thirty feet in the air and landed on the balcony.
"Now as you were saying Doctor!" he snapped.
"You were not meant to exist in this time! you are meant to be here."
"Then why am I!" Rasputaltron shouted.
"You are a Skellion and you are real but you should not exist in this time or any!" The Doctor said concluding his analysis of the situation.
Rasputaltron seemed to break down at the fact that he was some sort of freak creation, he collapsed to the floor and slammed his fist against the stone screaming wildly.
The Doctor and Ace saw their chance and dashed out back into the Tardis.
Barok tried to comfort his broken master who by now had been driven insane by this new revelation.
"Master I think that-"
Rasputaltron cut him off. "Go, I need to remain alone..."
Barok sadly fluttered away.
Rasputaltron stood up and gazed out across the chaos. Barok came back out across.
"Master a message from Galifrei!" he said.
Rasputaltron followed his servant in and activated the comm. system, an image of President Flavia appeared.
"I presume you have heard the Doctors theory on your non existence." Flavia said.
"Yes!" he hissed.
"Well...he was wrong, you do exist, the disturbance the Doctor felt was us trying to ciese his existence." Flavia said, her face seemed to drop with despair.
"We used the Matrix to see a time when you were ruler of the universe, because of your hatred for the Doctor you decided to destroy all time lords, we could not with stain the attack and all time lords died..." she said.
Rasputaltron regained his previous composure and cackled I his usual way.
"So you see, the Doctors interference in your affairs caused the ultimate destruction of our race, therefore if he died then you would never meet and you would leave the time lords in peace, our attempts to make the Doctor cease to exist were unsuccessful, we destroyed an entire planet." Flavia explained.
"So the Doctor was wrong I live!" Rasputaltron cackled.
"What we have told you must never be revealed, we still intend to make the Doctor cease to exist but he has one last mission to fulfil."
"And when he does?"
"We eliminate him...to save our race."
Rasputaltron could see that she was obviously uncomfortable with this. The viewscreen switched off.
"Well that should take care of the Doctor!" Barok said.
"Yes, in the meantime we must secure control over the galaxy." Rasputaltron said.
"With just skellions?" Barok said puzzled.
"Why not, were invincible, have the finest ships in the universe and have cloning technology!" he replied.
He turned to his window threw his arms in the air and shouted with glee. "I've won!"
