Poem for Leonard Peltier
Created | Updated Mar 21, 2003
A man of principal and honour, a true hero to the core.
A man of such valour that he has my true respect,
A man forced to stay in chains and told his freedom he can`t expect.
His name will be forever, spoken by the proud,
Shouted from the hilltops by voices strong and loud.
A good man whose innocence is beyond a shadow of a doubt,
But whose life is held in forfeit because conspiracys about.
One day I pray that he will walk out of the dark and into light,
And grant us all the benefit of his warmth and true insight.
Leonard, this poem is for you. I pray your freedom you will gain,
Respect my friend, peace..... from an ally that is Jane.
