Teenage view on being Goth

Ok i think i should write this agen.
Im not going to go on about what "goth" is i would like to put my point across of what its like for me a.k.a a 15year old goth girl to be living in 2003.
We'r now in the year 2003, and goth has been around all most 20 years.You would think people would have moved on from what people used to think about goths.But no not realy, ok yes people are more open minded about the world these days but still goth is not understood.
Im apart of the goth sean (as you might have guessed) iv'e been goth now for all most three years(im 15 now),and i have taken some not so nice comments off people.Strange looks off people i get them the most.
Every day life:
Shopping on a saterday is what most every normal teenager dose,i enjoy going shopping with my friends talking and catching up,or going out with my mother to help her with the shopping.
But shopping for me isn't exsactly normal.People mostly know im a goth around the town where i live,but shopping on a saterday isn't easy.
The looks i can deel with,and some times the comments but not all the time.People think Goths should take it or "oh goths dont get upset".But some times those Comments realy do hurt,some times i realy do get upset.
I understand im going to get the comments,looks and all the rest of it but some times theres just no need for it.
Friends are suposed to understand right? well no not all the time.It took alot and i mean alot of time for my friends to get used to it.
I dont have a huge gang of friends but the ones i have i like,but some of them still make coments.My mother is the same she never realy said any thing about me being goth she tryed to understand and i have to be honest i couldent ask more of her than that.But still now and agen she still says things about it that get to me.
Outher goths and myself.
There are not alot of goths around where i live in South wales but older goths tend to be kind of off at younger goths some times.
I think its the Marilyn manson spooky kid thing,Older goths tend to not like spooky kids so much and i can under stand why.some of them do give the whole goth sean a bad name.
But now the case is that any goth under 18 is considerd to be a poser and its not quite true.
