Confronting the Creator

My God is like a great tomcat
As strange as that might seem
He comes and goes as He pleases
And often is unseen

He did create the universe
But He gives not a clue
Why He allows events to happen
That puzzles me and you

I ask Him who is in control
He offers no replies
It only makes me angrier
When He just blinks His eyes

I shout at Him to answer me
But He just licks His fur
That only makes me furious
My vision starts to blur

Then when I am fully enraged
He turns and walks away
I am so angry I can’t speak
There’s nothing left to say

Perhaps He has some good reasons
To never tell me why
I only know He rarely speaks
Seldom does he reply

That forces me to just depend
On faith He’s given me
I might never know the reasons
The future I can’t see

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
