smiley - doh Thanks for pointing that out Justin.

Sea Change- mixed herbs is a standard thing to get over here, most brands/supermarkets produce there own version of it. It usually consists of parsley, thyme, basil and marjoram. I shall add a note to that effect.

Low mince mince- I shouldn'y have thought that would be a problem- the only reason for pouring the fat off is to stop the pie going sloppy- without the fat, it won't get sloppy in the first place smiley - smiley

I don't think it's usual practise to have 'of' in the ingredients list - but if you *are* going to put it in, at least be consistent.

The note about mixed herbs seems to 'get in the way' a bit - perhaps turn it into a footnote, or move it into the method section? Visually it's a bit strange.

I have read it through again, and now it reads understandably. I can see myself making this, and I think it'd be a good addition to the Edited Guide.

Now you learn something new every day. I've always wondered wha the difference between cottage and Shepherd's pie was. Personally I always thought they were exactly the same smiley - laugh

Ah well.

Actually originally it would be called cottage pie if you use beef mince and Shepherd's pie if you use lamb mince. So my tummy agrees with Justin...

but Kerravon has such a nice ball!
