To access the wonderful world of cinema one must first purchase a ticket. At which cinema you chose is of the patrons own personal taste.
If you want the sanitised clean corporate experience you can select the multitude of multiplexes currently on offer. At the drop of a hat, you can be fed, watered and entertained to within an inch of your life at a totally economic price.
Currently the local cinema is trying to make a comeback giving the customer a choice rarely seen at the mutiplexes, you may even see films that you remember, this obviously cannot be guaranteed.
Film audiences are supposed to be at record levels, does this mean we are in a golden age of cinema or are we just getting used to watching bad films. Personally the case for the golden age is tenuous to say the least, which makes it very confusing because audiences do seem to be becoming more discerning and less likely to fall for some of the lowest common denominator offerings from the big studios.
