Bastion

Here is a 'poem' I wrote for the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997.

Bastion

So long sovereign surrogate mother.
150 years of servility and subjugation,
Born in the cloud of an opium epidural;
Now to return to the home of my father,
Land of my people,
No longer to be your little yellow bastion.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
