The perfect boiled egg

Many theories have been put forward as to the making of the perfect boiled egg,each one designed to an individual taste.Hopefully this one will appeal to all tastes; 1st obtain a mechanics sliding gauge,take the egg(s) and holding the pointy end of the egg up and the dangly bits of the gauge either side of the egg measure across the widest part,these are the timings and sizes needed;
40mm = 2min-10secs
41mm = 2 - 15
42 = 2 - 20
43 = 2 -26
44 = 2 - 33
45 = 2 - 38
46 = 2 - 43
47 = 2 - 50
48 = 2 - 56
49 = 3 min 01
50 = 3 - 07
All timings are from a rolling boil,ostrich eggs will take a little bit longer
