Thoughts Of Compare and Contrast

1 Conversation

I (a 13 year old) have stumbled among an odd thought. Can you like stuff if you have never disliked anything? I have ran it through my brain many times and said no.

The mind is a complex being first of all. Nobody really knows how it works. Scientists have been able to discover a few things though. The first is of memory. If you have a short thought (like what I wrote in the first paragraph - seriously, I don't remember) it comes from a little electricity. If you have a longer thought (mabey a TV show) it is made of amino acids. You can entirely forget the short term memory and go strait to the long term when you compare and contrast.

Lets say there is a woman. She gets married to a man who constantly beat her. She finnally says Enough! I am getting a divorce. Than she marries another guy mabey a year later. That guy is also beating on the woman constantly. Again, she gets a divorce. Then, she marries another man. The man is nice to her never beating her up for anything.
She feels a lot more love between her and the third man compared (being the key word) to the other two men. Everyday she had more and more love and esteem that she decided to go to colledge and get a high paying job!

Now, lets go into a parellel world and look at the same woman.

She again marries the first man but the first man never beats her up. They eventually get a divorce for some reason. Than she marries the second man and it is the same as the first. Now, she marries the third man. Boy oh boy, a big mistake for here. The man beats on her everyday. The first week she was really in a feeling of hatred. She hated that man MORE THAN the first two men in the parellel world that she knew nothing about. Everyday the woman gets more and more angrier and eventually commits suicide.

I'll leave it to you to compare the two halves.
Yes, it is something huge that you compare but you can compare little things also such as a light being on to a light being off.

Almost anything can be compared if you look at it close enough.

If you have been stuck inside a prison for most of you life and go outside to see nice people who won't think about attacking you you feel in an awkward position.

Switch it around and the same is true. If anyone wants to argure feel free to tell me how your views CONTRADICT mine!
