There has been a report in the news section of the seventh issue of the magazine Celestial Toymaker published by the Official Doctor Who Fan Club in August 2002 that the television series Doctor Who will be returning next year. There are also speculations that there will be a Christmas Series this year as well as a 22 part series next year to celebrate the Televisions shows' 40th anniversary.
There have been reports of a secret photo shoot outside the BBC television Centre, based around the famous blue police box. To make things worse and to confuse the matters more, the comedian John Thompson was reportedly to have auditioned for a part in this new series of Doctor Who in a recent BBC1 interview. As the interview was shown live, John Thompson back-tracked, saying that it was only for a very minor part as a cyberman, so it is obviously a closely guarded BBC secret.
