A Conversation for 24 Lies A Second

I think if you post then it doesn't count as lurking.
I wouldn't sign a guestbook at another site, but this is a rather more interactive place than many.

I know what you mean.
Maybe I should revive the 24LAS reader competition, as the Harry Potter one last November got a fair response (in the end). Ah, decisions, decisions...
Yes, Swiv, they're all (fairly recent films)...
Hang on, I've posted the review on the site already! It doesn't count if you cheat!!!

I wouldn't cheat - but now I won't bother...
I'll just go read the reviews!

Ditto paracuting, hang-gliding, deep sea diving (probably) rock-climbing...

What was the name of that Mexican volcano that came up virtually overnight? Wasn't that paracutin (or something similar)?
Anyway, all those things sound terribly terribly active... not my cuppa at all! The only active sport I've been known to pursue is karaoke, and I haven't done that for a long time.

Catwoman Posted Sep 25, 2002
If at frist you don't succeed, karaoke probably is your sport, because everyone who deos it is rubbish.

Oops, I meant Paricutin. Sorry.
There are some very good karaokeka round my way. Each has specialised in two or three songs which they belt out to a very high standard, week in week out (eg Paradise by the dashboard light, Wanted dead or alive, erm, most things by Meat Loaf come to think of it - probably cos they're all so bloody long and thus keep them up on the stage for a greater length of time).
I always open with (ideally) The Wonder of You by Elvis, followed by a more up-tempo song like Viva Las Vegas or Wuthering Heights later in the evening when I've drunk enough.

it's a word now.
I have adhered to the proper Japanese language structure: karateka - practitioner of karate. Judoka - practitioner of judo.
I think karaoke could be thought of as a martial art too. I know many people who consider it highly offensive...
Key: Complain about this post
