Piercing

Piercing is the process by which objects, usually metal but sometimes plastic, bone, glass, or other hard substance, are forcibly inserted into the body. Normally this is done by choice. If it is done by accident, then it is referred to as impalement. The piercing is normally confined to some non-essential part of the body such as the ears or nose or navel, however there are numerous other areas that are pierceable as well (i.e. the nipples, genitalia, lips, tongue etc). Enthusiasts report that it “doesn’t hurt much” to get pierced to which most critics respond “compared to what? Getting you hand caught in a industrial drill press?”
