Is maths making you miserable? These books won't!
The charecters
1920's chicago
Blade's Gang.
Blade Boccelli - leader of the gang, demands upmost respect from his fellow gangsters. Although he gets a kick from extortion, may have been more fullfilled as a proffesor of Byzantine pottery [suggested in the Mean and Vulgar bits].
Porky Boccelli - Should not be underestimated when an eating utensil is involved. Protected the gang in MMM by using his huge girth to block an explosion.
One-Finger Jimmy Boccelli - Lost all his other fingers in an unexpectedly violent game of snakes of ladders. Cannot play the violin, as no-one told him which end to blow down.
Half-smile Gabrini - Cannot eat corn cobs.
Numbers Gabrinni - "Numbers knows the sums, he just don't know the sums to do."
Weasel Gabrinni - Was last seen with his head shoved in a bin, then dangled out of the window.
Which is the other Gabrinni brother?
Other Chicago Charecters
Dolly Snowlips - Often the brains behind Blade's gang, she is sick of his incompetence. Once [twice? see Su Doku] baked a cake for the gangsters, which they attempted to decline.
Luigi - Owner of Luigi's diner, the general eatery for the gangsters. Many of the gangsters' fights involve food in some way or another, and Luigi is happy to provide it.
Benni - Waiter at Luigi's diner. He is often kept waiting by the gangsters' breadstick-eating sessions lasting long into the night.
Ma Butcher - Seems to be out to get the Gangsters. The gang decorated her apartment.
Long Jake - Knife-weiding accomplice of Ma Butcher, should not be crossed.
The Forgotten Desert
Urgum the Axeman - Has sons Rob, Roy and Ron, but not a daughter called Ruth. A barbarian, he enjoys battling with Grizelda the Grizly, Mungoid the Jungoid and Hunjah the Headless. He specialises in the use of cannonballs.
Grizelda the Grizly - Another barbarian. Specialises in the use of arrows.
Mungoid the Jungoid - an assorted barbarian, usually just there to make up the numbers...
Hunjah the Headless - Assorted barbarian. Not the most proficient, generally trying to protect himself from the others. He could rely on
Colnel Cancel and the valiant vector warriors - but I wouldn't reccomend it. They like stacking bricks, and otherwise avoiding danger.
Princess Laplace - ruler of the forgotton desert, was once kidnapped byn forces unknown. The vector warriors sped to her rescue 1, with the assistance of...
Thag the Mathemagician - the only vaguely mathematically minded person in the forgotton desert. He was able to charge an extortionate amount for his services to the vector warriors, and at the end of Murderous Maths, married Princess Laplace.
The Pure Mathematitians
The four pure mathematitians, Kimpton, Winch, Janet and the other one. From the official website:
DJFOXY asks the Pure Mathematicians:
Why are your names Winch, Kimpton and Janet when there are 4 of you?
4? I can only see three.
Yours confusedly, the other one.
They have an office in the basement of the Murderous Maths organisation. They live together in a house with a strange-coloured bathroom [they've had fun mixing paint]. They drive a barely disguised volkswagen camper van, known as the mathsmobile. Their alter egos are Supersine, Cosgirl, and Tandog, who save the day using trigonometry.
