Reality Bites by Lil

It's Christmas once again,

Time for Peace on Earth.

For all to enjoy the Happiness

And drinking with some Mirth.

Lay down your guns in battle.

Love your fellow Man.

Just mind the splinter bombs

And avoid snipers if you can.

Don't raise your angry fist.

Put down the sharpened knife.

Hush, don't wake the kids

As you beat your frightened wife.

Think of those alone,

The widowed and forlorn.

The desperate and suicidal

Wishing never to be born.

No matter your beliefs,

If I could have a wish –

It would be to take away the pain,

And heal all with just a kiss.
