East of Glasgow city (Scotland) centre at the far end of the "Barra's" is Bill's Tool Store. Quite possibly the best known tool store in Britain. Every Joiner in Scotland knows of it and visits it.
Every kind of fitting or tool can be bought there or they can get it for you.
The walls are stacked high with various oddities everything from volumetric measuring guages to staple guns, all at a reasonable price.
Any HitchHiker who is in need of a hard to get but absolutely essential instrument should make it their first port of call. Even if they are in Australia.
