THREE WAYS FOR OPENING JARS

1 Conversation

There are several different
ways to open jars. These normally involve big muscles
or specialised equipment-but
you don't need either (but it
helps-especially in impressing
the opposite sex)

Method One-The Marigolds Method
For safe removal of Jar or
bottle lids-try a pair of
rubber gloves.
Put one glove on your hand
to get a good grip of the
jar and put the other glove
over the lid, give a quick twist-and hey presto-
one open jar.

Method Two-The Door Frame Method
Open a room door to the width
of the Jar/Bottle top.
Wrap a tea towel or similar
cloth around the Jar top
(this decreases damage to paintwork)
Close the door over, to achieve
a vice-like grip, hold the door in position, and gently turn
the jar.

Method Three-The Scary Method
For this trick you will need
a hammer and a clean nail
or screwdriver.
NOTE:NOT FOR USE WITH
CARBONATED DRINKS BOTTLES!!!

Carefully place
the pointed implement onto the jar lid, then lift up your mighty hammer and tap lightly. You don't even need to make a hole-just dent it enough to let the pressure out.
But be careful-this probably
should call for goggles and
gloves.

and finally if these fail, try
tapping the jar lid on worktop-or if it's nothing vital, return the offending
article to the store where it
was purchased.
