" Chicken and Caprisun mix"
" Bacon and computers"
" Shoe cleaner and turkey"
" Shut Up !, I yell" My cellmate wakes up, gets out of the bed and starts banging on the cell door yelling" Apples and Grease!!!". I just sit and start crying, when I hear someone calling my name. "Cartoypet, Cartoypet"
" What"
" Time to go"
" Go where?"
" Your being released."
" How am I being released, when it's the middle of the night."
" M'am this a small town and we need to need the space to lock up more people for stupid reasons."
" Who paid my bond, nobody even knows that I'm here."
" Some old man."
" Please don't let me out of this cell, he stalking me."
" M'am that's not my problem, lets go." As he is opening the cell door my cell mate starts talking again " Funyuns and bread." I rush to gather my things and I walk out the cell door praying that this is not the same old man. We walk up to the front desk and I see the old, naked, one-eye man, except he has clothes on.
" Hello, I have been looking for you."
" Why?"
" Because I want to smell your hair."
" You want to smell my hair? What in the world makes you chase somebody so you smell their hair?!"
" It looks really soft and shiny. I dream about sleeping on it and rubbing your hair against my skin." He walks over to smell my hair and immediately turns his nose up. "Your hair smells like rotten catfish.(I understand why he fells that way. I haven't showered or bathe in about a day plus I have been in this prison where the smells are indescribable!). Guess I am going to have to let you bathe and wash your hair." As he is talking I am thinking whether or not I should run or take this man up on his offer ( I really need to bathe). I decide to run. So as I wait for an opportunity to run, the guard and old man start talking. I see this as my opportunity and I got on down. I'm running as fast as I can, when I turn around and see the old man and guard trying to catch me. So I hide behind some bushes and try to wait until they past me. They past and I slowly walk away from the bushes. Just when I think that I am far enough, I run as if my life depended on it. As I am running I can smell my b.o. and it brings tears to my eyes. I continue to run trying to hold my breath when I reach a highway. I hold out my thumb hoping and praying that someone would stop and give me a ride. Finally a car stops and inside is a young, average looking woman about 25. In a heavy country drawl she asks
" Do you need a ride?"
" Yes please and thank you." I get in the car and I try to hold my arms tightly against my body so that she wont smell my b.o.. As we are driving and she asks me why I am in the middle of the road and why do I smell so bad. I tell her my story and ask her if she could take me back to the motel so I can get my things. She agrees and does a u-turn in the middle of the highway and starts driving like she was the one on the run. We pull to the motel and I notice that the clerk is still inside. I get out the car and walk into the lobby and the woman screeches out there and yells "Go take a bath!". "Well if it isn't little miss i can't clean up the dead raccoon because I didn't put it there."
" Can you let me into my room please?" The clerk agrees and gives me key to my room. I walk into my room and I notice that the raccoon is still on the bed. So I quickly hop in the shower and grabs my things and head out to my car. I get in the car and just start to drive hoping and praying that I make it to New Zealand.
