National planning for Nuclear Emergencies

0 Conversations

For reasons that escape me, a leaflet was delivered to me today: "National planning for Nuclear Emergencies". The leaflet deals with * how we should react should Sellafield explode.

1. Shelter

Stay indoors - outside is scary and bad

2. Restrictions

Don't eat anything - it could be contaminated. More contaminated than an Abrakebabra meal...

3. Agrcultural measures

If you are still naive enough to actually grow agricultural produce rather than just reaping EU grants then make sure the plant/animal is protected from the radiation.

4. Stable iodine

For no readily discernable reason we have loads of stable iodine to give away, so each household is going to get some...*. Enjoy!

5. Evacuatrion

There is no reason to evacuate. Bye!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
