I may not have turned over the right rock, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on h2g2 for aspiring poets to post their efforts.

This may be because most poetry is s**t, in the sense of Erasmus' wise saying that every man's s**t smells good to him ("Stercus cuique suum bene olet" in the original).

So what each of feels says something profound about the human condition, the next reader may consider to be tosh not worth the hard disk is it imprinted upon.

Still, h2g2 is one of the cleverest and most generous and congenial spaces on the internet, so we shouldn't be shy. If anyone else wants to put up a poem they have written, start a new thread below.

I've just entered "Cheated" on the poetry.com website. Haven't written anything for ages but quite liked it. Any criticisms, stick em down, I can take it.
