town with biggest pub of Europe. ok! ok! they are actual 11 pubs in 2 streets, but all are connected.

That's cool. I live in Wageningen: 1/6th of the population is a student.

Groningen is big university town
...180,000 and something people. I do not know amount of students, but I know when there is exam in one of buildings I lived previous about 8 long busses are not enough get them back!

I heard that few new university buildings are going up.

I looked at the university there, but it didn't really appeal to me.

lots (ex-)students love the town!

It wasn't just the study, it was the whole atmosphere of the place.

never been in other places like my town, but then again I baised...

How come it's perfectly alright if people do it over a hundred years or so, but not if they do it in a couple of weeks?

because if it takes a long time the social impact is less than in short time...

in world war 2 it took a long time to get news around
now nearly every one knows it yesterday!

another example: fashion
in Queen Victoia times wigs were in for a long time.
what is in today is gone tomorrow!

Yup. Only a few things stay the same over the years.
