Modern Mythology

"The Lord of the Rings" is probably one of the most famous modern books in existence. Read by thousands, the world is famously divided into 2 parts; those who have read the book, and those who are going too. personally, i am addicted to the book, and adore it.
J.R.R. Tolkien created the book as a story to tell to his children when they were young. It was subsequently published and is still one of the most popular books ever, and now an award winning film.
"Lord of the Rings" is an epic tale about a Hobbit upon whom the fate of Middle Earth is placed when the mythical "one ring" comes into his possesion. his quest is to take the ring to Mount Doom for it to be unmade in order to defeat the dark lord Sauron. Set over three books, the tale tells not only an amazing story, but creates a whole world, full of magical elves, heroic men, corageous hobbits and land of beauty, waste and pure myth. Very few book i have read have ever painted such a complete picture of an entire world in such a detailed way, with a complete history, geneology and even two complete languages.

Elen sila lumenn omentielvo, in the language of the elves, to all who have read it.
