Another way to contribute to the French aspects of the Guide would be to volunteer your services as a Transvol. For more information on the project, go to A617320.
They're looking ideally for native speakers, but will also take people with a high proficiency (professional translators and interpreters, etc) to proofread entries submitted in French to make sure they don't go against any of the Guide rules.
The project is currently a bit stalled- perhaps with enough nudging it could take off again..
