Way back in the mists of time when h2g2 was a dot com site and everyone was trying to find their niche, most official 'Help Pages' were allocated, along with all other writings, a lowly 'A' number. Researchers would bookmark these or link to them from their homespace and forget about them.

Then Jim Lynn introduced 'gadgets' and new, funky page names were awarded to the more important places on site. Over the passing months/years, many researchers became aware of this change but, for some, the correct new usage became blurred with more and more 'official pages' being activated.

The latest pages to be given the 'JL' treatment are the revamped Alternative Writing Workshop, The Fleamarket and The Writing Workshop. This has caused confusion for a few, especially our friends AGG/GAG as they regularly use these links in their Post column.

Panic not! The Post is proud to bring you the definitive list of 'Official Links' and the means of linking to them from your home space. To insert a link on your space all wording should be preceded by <LINK H2G2=" and close correctly with ">. Don't forget to use </LINK> after the link title or your space will be filled with nasty red wording pointing out the error of your ways. In other words, your complete link should look like this:
