A lot has been said lately about crime and punishment, and how offenders are getting off lightly. If it was in my power, I would revert to the old days. Kill all murderers but humanely by injection. Younsters would not get a talking to but the Birch. Older offenders would get the Cat-O-Nine tails. and Paedophiles would be put in the stocks and have rotten fruit and vegetables thrown at them before castration. Persistent rapists I would also castrate. Now I know this will horrify the do gooders but they are responsible for all the re-offenders. A damn good hiding is what most of them want.I bet a lot would not offend again, after getting a good beating, knowing they would get more of the same if they did it again. I can't say send them to Australia, because I live here now and we have our own offenders, which I would also love to do the same to. Marj
