Considering that Mr. Adams has passed away, it seems in poor taste to me to list him as missing.

I beg leave to disagree.
OK, we know why DNA can no longer be present, so perhaps "missing" is not completely accurate but I'm sure that no one would argue that he is "missed".
I feel it reasonable for DNA to be included. Not only will it serve to remind us all of our mortality, but it will also show that, occasionally, the good that men do does live after them. Perhaps this is a viewpoint particular to a person "of a certain age" who is not intending to denigrate the opinion of a younger one.
I do hope that we shan't fall out over this. I just wanted to put another opinion.
