This has to be the strangest thing about humans. I mean, who else but us would happily spend two hours kicking a ball, hitting a ball, throwiing a ball, diving for a particularly heavy ball, just for the sake of a pretty ball on the end of a piece of ribbon? Even if it is made of a precious metal?
But still we insist on "playing the game" and other inane phrases of the same ilk. But we actually enjoy it!!!! At least most of us do. There are of course the unfortunate few (of whom I am the typical example) who are always picked last for team games. But don't despair - ther e are sports
that you can do on your won, like jogging. Jogging is a great way to show off your latest glow-in-the-dark tracksuit with bright green go-faster stripes. It increases your blood pressure, and your ikelihood of getting hit by a passing car. This gives it the element of risk, which we need to have
to keep up our adrenalin levels, which are a basic need of all sports. Adrenalin is the cheap way of getting high, which involves a huge personal risk, and also the knowledge of this personal risk. I mean, a jogger who isn't aware that they could be squashed by a passing three wheeler just i
enjoying themselves to the greatest potential.
