This chapter deals with the gross inefficiency of EU member countries at devising a common foreign security policy with respect to the Yugoslavia. As will be shown, the EU proved to be largely incompetent in preventing or even ameliorating the tragic conflict. The chapter will also attempt to delve into some of the reasons for the EU member states' inability of facilitating the resolution of the conflict.
