New Doctor's Costume - first pics!

The bbc.co.uk/doctorwho site has the first ictures of how Tennant is going to look for the series. It's really understated, like Eccleston's, but much more Doctorish, with a long, fawn-coloured coat and dark pin-striped suit.

Fab!

Nice. Very 40s. Like the scruffy touch with the trainers.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am...

I mentioned on a previous thread that I'd like to see the Doctor in a shabby 40's style suit... I'm slightly spooked now.

I really do like that - looks like he's from another time, but the trainers make him stand out as being from different eras.

I wonder if he's ever given thoght to the idea that the technology behind trainer design could be as damaging to the timeline as Ace's anachronistic ghetto blaster in Remembrance of the Daleks... eek!

The trainers shouldn't be too damaging... they look like Converse All Stars which were originally made in 1923.

It's great to have some pictures so soon. I know DT can pull off the quirky outfits! Can't wait to see more....

While I do like the outfit I am much more enthused by the fact that DT looks quite so happy. A happier Doctor will make me a happier bunny.

I do like the outfit, it looks quite old fashoned. I think Tennant should be a fantastic Doctor. I've read a couple of interviews and he seems to have a genral ethusiasm for the role, and a lot of respect for it to, he's a lifelong Doctor Who fan.
