i.e. MORE of my tax-payers money to consultants. The BBC seem to forget they it is mainly for TV programmes not multimedia.

It isn't far off a tax.
To drive a car I need road tax.
To watch ANY TV channel on a TV I need a TV licence even if I never watch a BBC programme(or I suppose a Channel 4 programme as part of the licence fee goes to them.) I still need a TV licence
