Not sure if this is where you wanted responses posted, but still...

I'm by no means a great fan of the Pertwee years, but i won't argue with your positive take on the era. But: I would query whether JP was primarily famous for the Carry On films. I would amend the character study of the JP Doctor to at least mention how pompous and overbearing he could occasionally be, also the regular (almost ritualised) Doctor-browbeats-this-week's-civil-servant scenes.

I think that in addition to the three detailed story descriptions some kind of listing (or a link to such) of all 25 stories is necessary, along with the arrival/departure details of the regular characters.

I personally would have put in a section on how the show developed over the five years of the run, from nearly getting cancelled in 1970 to becoming a success again by 1974. Also the way in which the series developed, becoming more expensive and glossy but also more sophisticated in its storytelling (the influence of shows like Star Trek and The Avengers), the importance of morality as a theme and focus of the plots, the growth of the series' mythos as a coherent entity.

Also 'in that order' at the end of the favourite/least favourite monster bit is superfluous.

The tone of the story reviews is a bit subjective and I would *strongly* argue that Spearhead doesn't set the tone for the rest of the Pertwee era, it's a definite one-off for all sorts of reasons (bit like the whole of season 7 really...).

And a trivial thing, but you don't seem to mention Pertwee's appearances as the Doctor in The Five Doctors (which should almost certainly be mentioned) and Zagreus (which I'll happily admit is a matter of personal taste).

Hope that's helpful...

Hi Awix,
I've taken your ideas on board and used some of them, thanks.smiley - cheers
Don't feel too insulted about the ones I haven't used, but as I said on the PR thread I had to tread a middle ground between laymen and anoraks. The link to the Third Doctor programmes has been put on, and details of all 25 stories are there for people to look at. I'll admit the reviews are a tad subjectivesmiley - winkeye, but then show me a review that isn'tsmiley - winkeyesmiley - biggrin. Have a look anyway and let me know what you think.smiley - cheers
