Awix

I wouldn't sweat it overmuch - Grade's famous dislike of DW is, I suspect, mainly a pose he adopts to make himself look more interesting and colourful and get cheap laughs at the expense of the likes of us.

Either that or he's incapable of distinguishing between the meanings of 'postpone' and 'cancel' (he did one but not the other) and suffers from a terribly flawed memory (even the postponement was originally motivated by cash rather than quality issues).

(Gary Downie's allegations about Grade's personal vendetta against Colin Baker notwithstanding, natch...)

I would further suggest that all those MPs trying to get a non-interference promise from Grade are also just trying to look in touch and popular and ingratiate themselves with the likes of us (it's been tried before - before the 97 election one of the major parties wrote to all the SF fan press saying 'vote for us and we'll make sure the BBC shows The X Files uncut').

Anyway, haven't we more important things to discuss? Such as, what kind of nine-year-old is scared of Sontarans?!?
