so name one of your favorite stories (well one that you think is prety good anyway), and one of the worst
a good one for me would be the caves of androzani
a not so good one I'd choose, the web planet.

How about a best and worst for each Doctor?
William Hartnell
The best: The Daleks/The Tenth Planet
The worst: The Edge Of Destructrion
The reasons: okay, I confess I started watching Who as a dedicated Dalek & Cybermen fan. As for "The Edge Of Destruction", although the acting etc. is superb, I'm not convinced about the way the Tardis is portrayed, the reasons behind the paranoia, nor the "Fast Return Button".
Patrick Troughton:
The best: I'd like to say "Wheel In Space", but I only have seen 2 episodes...
The worst: The Mind Robber
Why: I like "The Mind Robber", and all I have seen of his Doctor - he's one of my favourite doctors, but alas there's little remaining to watch.
Jon Pertwee
The best: The Sea Devils
The worst: Planet Of The Spiders
Why: The "I was a scared Doctor, but I faced my fear" plotline wasn't really convincing.
Tom Baker
The best: So many to chose from! Genesis of the Daleks
The worst: The Sontaran Experiment
Why: The "we can't invade without experiments which, if one Sontaran fails to complete, we'll completely change our plans" plotline didn't convince.
Peter Davison
The best: The Five Doctors
The worst: Revelation Of The Daleks
Why: Bit of a let-down, really. The same could be said for "The Five Doctors", but it was good to see so many Doctors together.
Colin Baker
The best: Vengeance On Varos
The worst: Trial Of A Timelord
Sylvestor McCoy
The best: Remembrance Of The Daleks
The worst: Time And The Rani
Paul McGann:
The best: Doctor Who: The Pilot
The worst: Doctor Who: The Pilot

Best: Pyramids of Mars (boring but true)
Worst: Warriors of the Deep (though Seeds of Death runs it a very close second on the grounds of sheer stupidity and incoherence)
Doctor who, heaven and hell
CYBERHUMAN Posted Feb 1, 2002
Greetings, this is CYBERHUMAN. These are my best and worst episodes:
1st Doctor - William Hartnell.
The Best: The Mutants (a.k.a. The Daleks) & The Tenth Planet.
The Worst: 10,000BC.
The Mutants was a fantastic episode as it introduced the Doctor's archenemies, the Daleks, and had a great plotline. For me, 10,000BC was the worst as going back in time to create fire is a poor beginning for such a brilliant series.
2nd Doctor - Patrick Troughton.
The Best: The Tomb of the Cybermen & The Web of Fear.
The Worst: The Evil of the Daleks.
The Tomb of the Cybermen was great! It introduced an excellently thought-of CyberController and the Cybermats (who resembled mobile hairbrushes with eyes and teeth), and saw a clash between man's logic and the logic of the Cybermen. The Web of Fear was good too as the Yeti returned with a heavy change of appearance. It had a good plot and lots of guessing like Whodunnit? The Evil of the Daleks was dreadful as the Daleks seemed wasted in the plot.
3rd Doctor - Jon Pertwee.
The Best: The Three Doctors (with William Hartnell & Patrick Troughton).
The Worst: The Mind of Evil.
The Three Doctors was great as it saw the Doctor's two former lives returning to help him in the tenth anniversary. It also saw the introduction of Omega, who was a superb character with his god-like appearance and presence. The Mind of Evil was dreadful as a parasite that attacks the mind is not really a Doctor Who-type story.
4th Doctor - Tom Baker.
The Best: Genesis of the Daleks - obviously!!
The Worst: The Seeds of Doom & Image of the Fendahl.
Genesis of the Daleks is brilliant with the first appearance of Davros. He was such a good character and well portrayed by Michael Wisher. The Seeds of Doom and Image of the Fendahl were boring!
5th Doctor - Peter Davison.
The Best: Warriors of the Deep & Resurrection of the Daleks.
The Worst: Arc of Infinity.
Warriors of the Deep and Resurrection of the Daleks were good stories, seeing the return of the Sea Devils and Silurians and Davros. Arc of Infinity was a rather dull story and it seemed to me that the writer was stuck for ideas and so put together a jumble of silly ideas into one episode.
6th Doctor - Colin Baker.
The Best: The Trial of a Time Lord (Parts 1-14).
The Worst: The Twin Dilemma.
The Trial of a Time Lord was good (although few of Colin Baker's stories are actually worth watching - he makes me cringe!) as the Doctor was tried by his own people for a second time and came up against a variety of alien menaces. The Twin Dilemma was crap as he was moody, argumentative and mentally unstable - not like the earlier Doctors at all!
7th Doctor - Sylvester McCoy.
The Best: Rememberance of the Daleks, Ghostlight (is it one word or two?) & Silver Nemesis.
The Worst: Survival.
Rememberance of the Daleks, Ghostlight and Silver Nemesis had good plotlines and lots of action. The Doctor also outwitted the Daleks and Cybermen using logical thinking as opposed to mere action. Survival for me was a bad way to end the series once and for all, the plotline being rather basic and boring. A bad way to end the series!
Key: Complain about this post
