howz about a smiley throwing the devil horns in a heavy metal stylee? and if animation is possible moshing his smiley heeeeeaaad at the same time?

Do you really want to know the answer to that? this is h2g2 after all!
On a more guru side of things, I think they're trying to reduce the amount of animated smilies, this doesn't mean that you can't have animated devil horns, but it does mean that you'll have to have a really good reason why yours should be animated instead of say an animated dog wagging it's tail.
In the mean time there's always

We don't have animated smileys as they take up too long to download - the disco smiley is the only exception to that. As we already have a devil smiley, it would be doubling up.
But thanks for the idea though.
